This artist-curated collection of three limited-edition photographs explores the space where art meets nature, inviting a connection to the deeper themes of human spirit and creation at play in our lives.
KD Sadler, known for her explorations in photography, creates a visual language that embodies the subtle tension between nature and the human spirit. Her works reflect a journey through personal and universal themes, connecting the viewer to the essence of creation and the energy that flows through life. From her childhood nomadic lifestyle to her experiences across different landscapes around the world, Sadler’s images weave moments of stillness with the raw beauty of natural forms. Her photography invites contemplation, encouraging the viewer to witness the deeper spiritual forces at play in everyday experiences.
Surrounded by the fluidity of light and the abundance of natural forms, KD Sadler’s artistic practice channels the subconscious and spiritual through the camera. Each piece is an expression of her lived life, her discovery in the moment where shadow, light, and form dissolve the boundaries between art and nature. Sadler’s camerawork begins with a simple frame, exploring the unseen connections between humanity and the environment. Her process is relentless and intuitive, while some images emerge, others reveal themselves over time, giving a sense of other realms and depth.

This project begins as a portfolio of ten photographs that capture my interests in exploring alternative narratives, representations of reality, and elements of time in film and still photography.
The plan for this series of photographs was to document and observe my experience of time with Lygia, my children’s 94-year-old paternal grandmother. My presentation includes a collaborative book titled EYES FORWARD “For Lygia” based on the photographic images we produced that day. I then sent the book to twelve different people. I invited their participation to select a page and then to mark the space on the page as they wished, with a response or reflection before returning the book to me. The artwork and the process confirmed our presence together in this collaboration.
My intention with this work is to create a space for the mind and hand to wander beyond the margins and the edges of the page. I am interested in how the collective images and responses will occur for me and others each time I share this artwork.
